From a humble beginning in February 1985, ATLANTIC GLOBAL SHIPPING (AGS) has, to its credit, over 36 years of Port Agency and Logistical Services to the Oil / Chemical Tanker Owners. Today AGS is one of the leading Port Agencies in India with strong fundamentals providing a wide spectrum of “ONE STOP” services - Customs / CHA / Technical / Legal / Travel – through its own ‘in – house’ out- fits under its umbrella. Thanks to our esteemed Principals, in India and abroad, for their unstinted support. Thanks to them also for fuelling our urge to go beyond!
AGS’s registered office is based in Mumbai (Nariman Point) from where all banking transactions are handled. Its Head Office is also based in Mumbai (Lower Parel) from where all agency – related activities are monitored. AGS has two Divisions, one for handling Tankers for the Public (Government) Sector Oil Companies and another for the Private Sector Oil Companies. AGS also acts as General Agents / Owner’s Protective Agents (OPA) / Charterers Agents.
At the helm of affairs is a Team of professionals from the Oil /Shipping Industries and Experts on Taxation / Customs Laws with a combined experience of over 100 years to provide guidance and solutions apart from the services of Master Mariners and Technical Superintendents. AGS has a net-work of its own Branch Offices at all Indian Ports managed by well experienced Locals and hence no sub - Agents are involved.
On an average, per annum, AGS handles over 50% of the Tanker Traffic at Indian Ports. AGS is one of the few ISO 9001:2015 Certified Port Agencies in India by Det Norske Veritas and Accredited by the RVA. For assessment of efficiency level in AGS’s performance, a written feedback from Master and Owner of every vessel is obtained. In case of any lapse a Root – Cause Analysis is made internally, basis which corrective measures are taken to avoid recurrence of the same lapse in future.
